Ask Mel

Privacy

The plain-English version: I collect as little data as possible, I don't sell or share it, and you can ask me what I hold about you at any time.

What I collect

If you email me
Your email address and whatever you write. It lands in my business inbox and nowhere else.
If you book a chat
Booking happens on a separate Google booking page, not on this site. The name, email, meeting time and anything you type into the booking form go into my Google Workspace calendar so we can get a meeting in the diary. Google handles that booking page; nothing about it is stored on this website.
If you just visit this site
Nothing. There are no analytics, no cookies, no advertising trackers, and no third-party scripts on these pages. Nothing follows you around the internet.

What I do with it

I use your details solely to reply to you and to deliver any work you contract me to do. No unsolicited marketing emails, no data selling, no advertising trackers.

Recording meetings

If we meet, I may use an AI notetaker so I can listen properly instead of writing the whole time. I will always ask first, every time, and it does not happen if you would rather it didn't. Those notes sit in my business systems, which run under business terms: your conversation is not used to train anybody's AI model.

Where it lives

Email, calendar and meeting notes sit in my business Google Workspace account. Client engagement files sit in encrypted systems we agree on before work begins.

Your choices

Ask me what data I hold about you and I'll provide it. Ask me to delete your contact details and I will, unless the law requires me to retain specific records, such as accounting or tax files.
